A new construction development of a an Elementary School for Walton County, GA. This project is over 100,000 square feet and consists of a complete new HVAC system which is inclusive of the following equipment: Cooling Tower, Heat Exchanger, Boilers, Chilled and Hot Heating Water Pumps with Variable Frequency motor Controls, Water Source Heat Pumps, Roof Top Air Conditioners, Energy Recovery Units, Split System Air Conditioners, Ductless Split System Air Conditioners, PTAC Units, Condenser Water Piping Systems, Condensate Piping Systems, Controls, Water Treatment, Insulation and Heat Trace. This project is fast track with a seven month duration to complete.

Pickens County Community Center (Jasper, GA)
A new community center located in Jasper, GA this project is a new recreation center with of (2) new large high tonnage Split System Air Conditioners serving the gymnasium portion of the facility and smaller Split Systems serving the lobby and common areas. This system is also inclusive of all associated controls, ductwork, air distribution and refrigerant piping. This is a fast track project with a less than 200 day substantial completion.

North Georgia Technical College –Hoyt- Coe project (Clarkesville, GA)
This project is renovation of an existing educational building at the North Georgia Technical College in Clarkesville, GA. It consists of the demolition of an existing aged HVAC system and the installation of a new state of the art chilled water HVAC system on two and a half levels which includes the following equipment. Air Cooled Chiller, Indoor Air Handling Units, Fan Powered Terminal Units, Split system Air Conditioners, Controls, Ductwork, Air Distribution, Chilled Water Piping, chemical treatment and all associated components to provide a complete and functional balanced HVAC System.

Buice & Fowler Park – Forsyth County Recreation Centers (Cumming, GA)
These (2) separate but identical recreation centers are located in Cumming and Suwanee, GA and are both new construction projects. These projects consist of (2) new large 100 ton Split System Air Conditioners serving the gymnasium portion of the facility and smaller Split Systems serving the lobby and common areas. This equipment will be controlled by a DDC controls system installed by Trane.

Clayton County Schools Group A (Jonesboro, GA)
This project consists of a limited HVAC replacement in (4) separate Clayton County Elementary Schools. In each school there will be (1) AHU added and (2) condensing units. The AHU is served by hot water for heating and refrigerant for cooling. The ductwork associated with this system as well as the piping will be replaced. Approximately (70) Ionization units serving the Water Source Heat Pumps will be replaced also.

Athens Technical College (Athens, GA)
Project includes $400K renovation of an existing classroom structure which includes demolition and the installation of a new HVAC system and restructured Plumbing System. This is a fast track project which is performed under time constraint conditions and with short duration. A 100 Ton Split system Air Conditioner is the base equipment associated with this design. Scope of Work also includes all ductwork and air distribution, refrigerant piping of multiple coils in the AHU, condensate piping and demolition of the existing services.

This was a $1.2 million renovation of an existing 100,000 Sq ft school building and 50,000 Sq ft classroom addition. Poag Mechanical's scope of work included a new DDC Controls system throughout the renovation and the addition of (4) Rooftop Air Conditioners, (9) Energy Recovery Units, (75) Water Source Heat Pumps, Fans, a new Condenser Water Pumping System including Variable Frequency Cooling Tower / Pump Drives and renovation of an existing Cooling Tower. New ductwork and condensate piping were installed throughout.

These jobs totaled $750k for the combined plumbing and HVAC renovation for both locations in three separate buildings. Studio Movie Grille (Roswell, GA)
Build out of 60,000 Sq Ft in and existing strip mall for dine-in theatre. Poag Mechanical, Inc. performed both Plumbing and HVAC scopes of work on this project totaling $650k. HVAC scope included the installation of (16) Packaged Rooftop Units, (17) Exhaust Fans and a Ductless Split System Air Conditioner, the installation of new ductwork to eight theatres, kitchen, and common areas. Temperature and Humidity Controls were also installed integral to the HVAC equipment.

The HVAC portion of this project consists of (2) above ground levels which include classrooms and laboratories. The system consists of a closed loop condenser water system with hot water serving 29 Water Source Heat Pumps. The equipment consists of (1) Evapco Cooling Tower, (29) Water Source Heat Pumps, (1) Raypac Heating Hot Water Boiler, (1) Heat Exchanger, pumps and a complete DDC controls system. This multi- level facility included the installation of the following HVAC equipment and accessories. (3) Constant Volume Roof Top Units serving numerous terminal units with electric heat throughout the facility, (2) Mitsubishi Split System Air Conditioning Units, a number of fans along with a complete ductwork / air distribution system throughout. A new DDC controls system was installed to operate the new addition and connect to the existing Digital Controls system. This project was approximately $700,000 in value.
